Repair Manual for my JD4100

i would really like to get a repair manual for my JD4100. (maybe even on CD).

any ideas?

Check on eBay. The cd's are always on there. Usually $10 - $20

Also, don't forget www.jdparts.com - for exploded diagrams and part lists. Not a service manual, but can be a big help

Most of the manuals I've seen on eBay were aftermarket. Most aftermarket manuals I've seen were rather inadequate, IMHO.

So, I'd ask your dealer about a manual...especially on CD-ROM. My 790 manual (originally purchased for a Deere 670, but covers the 770 and 790 as well) cost $48.00. This is a CD-ROM, by the way.

I got my CD from JD for my 4010. Think it covers the 4110 as well. Believe it was about $60. My bookmark for jdparts is http://jdparts.deere.com/servlet/com.deere.u90.jdparts.view.servlets.maincontroller.SessionStartup?userAction=null

Think there's an 800 # as well. Ask your dealer.

I bought a genuine John Deere 4100 repair manual (used) on eBay for about $27.
Just my two cents.

The CD manuals have always been the Deere ones, I don't think there is an aftermarket CD based one

I've purchased a half dozen manuals on ebay. Technical repair manuals and parts manuals as well as owner's manuals (there is a difference -- between the books and the type of information they provide). Five out of six were original JD books. No CD's yet. Didn't want to shock my "low techno" system too much! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
