I didn't know where to post this, so I hope someone here can help. It is afterall a big project. I need to repair and repaint a number of tool boxes and tool chests. I been able to remove some of the drawers. But these Stack-on ones have me stumped. They don't have any holes to push the spring back, if there is one. Has anyone ever had one of this type apart.
Picture came out awful large for some reason! If I get it posted right.

They are released by using a piece of spring steel that slides between the drawer and the slide mechanism. I have the same design on my Snap-On Tool Boxes. If you see a Snap-On truck, they should be a standard item and not be very expensive. I believe that you could also make them from some thin steel strapping material. They are about 3/8" wide.
