Remote hydraulic size for 2008 M9540

I broke one of my quick connects for the remote hydraulics. I didn't want to spend close to $200 to replace so I purchased a 1/2" pioneer brand and 3/8 oring boss X 1/2" MNTP instead. When it came in, the 3/8" is too small and 1/2" is too big. Is it a 7/16" or possible metric? Thanks in advance.

If you have any of the old (factory) Q/C still, bring it to a good hyd. shop. They should have a "kit" with every thread possibility known to man, they'll just go through their "kit" until they find the right thread that screws into your old Q/C to tell you exactly what thread it is. I had to do this on a hyd. rotator for a grapple, I learned about BSP & BSPT metric threads quickly :laughing:

Yeah, I'll have to take it so a shop one day, if I can find one. Probably take one of the old ones to tractor supply and see if I can atleast get a plug for now. Thanks.

What I meant by a good hyd. shop is really a good hose repair shop. Some NAPA's even have pretty good hose making ability and at least access to thier broad line of parts in their catalog, that is after you get the thread id'd :confused3:

The way min is set up, I have female threads on the remote hydraulics. It had a fitting which I thought was 3/8" oring boss X 1/2" oring boss; then it had a female thread quick connector X 1/2" quick connect with the internal collar.

Tx Jim, I couldn't see the attachment when I originally replied. I really can't tell from the picture, but it does look like the correct fitting. I'm a little concerned buying it though, since it doesn't have any specs.

When I called the Kubota dealer, they said there were 2 types depending on my serial number. I was out of town at the time, so I tried giving them the Parker part number. I gave up on them once they told me they only use Kubota quick connectors.

Decided to go to dealer and as if by magic they found one on the shelf not tagged for $87. They thought the threads were either 14mm or 22 mm. If metric, they are some where between 9.5mm and 12.7mm though. Anyways, thanks for all the advice guys.

When I called the Kubota dealer…….. I gave up on them once they told me they only use Kubota quick connectors.

My loader has "Faster" brand fittings, to disconnect it from the tractor, I found them on the web. Not sure about the rear remotes.
