Bdavis,
If you are talking about remotes on the rear of your machine you may be able to save a few bucks by using an after market valve, BUT if you go with the matched valved from Mahindra the kit comes complete with all the necessary parts. I put a double on my 5530 last summer that I got from my dealer for $900. Now set aside the cost for a moment and think about this I am no mechanic but have a good amount of tools and ability to take on this project and it took all of 8-10 hours to remove the seat and sheet metal, install valve kit , and put everything back together. When I was done it looked as if it had been part of the tractor from day one, very nice setup. If you go with an after market valve you may have to fender mount the valve and run hoses all over the place. You may also run into other issues that could extend the tractor's down time such as needing to get brackets made up, hoses cut and refitted with ends, etc. This project is not that bad to do with the Mahindra valve, just remember it is not a 1-2 hour job. If you have any questions give me a shout.
