remote hydraulic kit 4500

I want to add a remote hydraulic to my 4500 but I do not know where to start.
Do I just call a Mahindra dealer and ask if they can order me a kit for my model tractor.

I wouldn't suggest a factory vave kit. They are a pain to put on, use, keep from leaking, you name it! Not cheap either. I can give you a few options, depending on what you need and wish to spend. You can get a single or double spool, hoses fittings,etc. for five to eight hundred, maybe less. The factory kit is more like a grand for single. You can do the kit thing, or put your own kit together.

Use the PB from your FEL valve, or a hyd block if you have one.

The flow path should be something like this. Pump, IN port FEL valve, FEL valve PB out to remote IN port, remote PB OUT to 3pt.

I would recommend 4 spools as two of them might be dedicated for T-N-T.

You could add detent kits or float as needed.

Okay, I am not a mechanic and rarely play one. But I now want to understand a couple things. First off, J_J, can you help me understand the different terminology in your post - or point me somewhere that explains the basics? Also, can someone tell me what the advantage is of this process?

If you are talking about remotes on the rear of your machine you may be able to save a few bucks by using an after market valve, BUT if you go with the matched valved from Mahindra the kit comes complete with all the necessary parts. I put a double on my 5530 last summer that I got from my dealer for $900. Now set aside the cost for a moment and think about this I am no mechanic but have a good amount of tools and ability to take on this project and it took all of 8-10 hours to remove the seat and sheet metal, install valve kit , and put everything back together. When I was done it looked as if it had been part of the tractor from day one, very nice setup. If you go with an after market valve you may have to fender mount the valve and run hoses all over the place. You may also run into other issues that could extend the tractor's down time such as needing to get brackets made up, hoses cut and refitted with ends, etc. This project is not that bad to do with the Mahindra valve, just remember it is not a 1-2 hour job.
