I managed to shatter the rear fender on my Dodge dually - it is a fibre glass/plastic type material.
After doing a bit of digging, I found that the resin material to use is called SMC - don't ask me what it means as I don't know. It has to do with the molding of the part and a releasing chemical to prevent the part sticking in the mold.
Anyway, using this resin and bondo, I was able to repair my fender (over a dozen parts to stick together) to the point that at say 10 ft you wouldn't know there had even been a repair - closer it can be seen. Anyway, I am sure the resin type you need to use is the same - SMC.
Try "googling" fibre glass repairs and you should be able to determine your needs.
