Am I able to reinforce the hood of my 325 with fiberglass? Will it bond to the plastic hood?

regular Joe blow bondo fiberglass resin will stick but not as well as something like west systems epoxy and woven cloth rather than standard chop mat. I got a small repair kit of the west systems on ebay a few years ago with little pouches of resin mat gloves and everything. depends on the size of area your doing I was just fixing some motorcycle fairings

I managed to shatter the rear fender on my Dodge dually - it is a fibre glass/plastic type material.
After doing a bit of digging, I found that the resin material to use is called SMC - don't ask me what it means as I don't know. It has to do with the molding of the part and a releasing chemical to prevent the part sticking in the mold.
Anyway, using this resin and bondo, I was able to repair my fender (over a dozen parts to stick together) to the point that at say 10 ft you wouldn't know there had even been a repair - closer it can be seen. Anyway, I am sure the resin type you need to use is the same - SMC.
Try "googling" fibre glass repairs and you should be able to determine your needs.

Deere uses a proprietary plastic made from soybeans by Ashland Specialty Chemicals and Bayer Corporation. They use a number of different types for the specific method used to form the part: sheet molding compound (SMC), reaction injection molding (RIM), and resin transfer molding (RTM).

Although the Deere material is proprietary, you should be able to repair it like Xenoy plastic or other linear-low-density polyethylene (LLDP) materials. There are several ways to repair Xenoy including plastic welding. 3M makes a product called Duramix that is used to repair this type of plastic.

Do an Internet search for "repairing Xenoy" and you will have enough responses that you can research repairing the material and the methods you feel might work best for your repair.

I have done some repair work on the plastic shrouding on my JD4200. Hardware resin, cloth and bondo worked for me.

My skills were a little lacking though and professional it's not.
