Kubota M7060,Kubota MX 4700hst, Kubota B7100hst, Kubota RTV 900,
I have a 2017 Kubota M7060. I bought it new, it has about 50 hours. I mainly use the tractor for brush hogging. I am running the RPMs at 2200. My tractor is going through a Regen about every 8 to 10 hours. Is this normal? This is my first machine with particulate filter. Thanks in advance for any advise.

I would say no that's not normal. I have a 2018 JD 5075E with a little over 30 hours and have yet to hit my first regen, and I find myself idling more than I'd like with this DPF crap. I would call or stop by your dealer and ask why your new tractor is regening so much. Maybe you got a tractor with a defective DPF but IDK.

Are you letting your tractor regen the way the owners manual tells you to? Maybe it's not doing a complete regen every time. How long do your regens normally take?

I agree with LCG - sounds like a little too often. As he suggests - check in with your dealer.

I also have a M7060 that's only a couple months old. It went through the first regen at 18 hours. I have about thirty hours on it now and it's regen'd only that one time so far. Like you I wasn't sure if it was normal for it to regen so soon.

I do as the manual says. It usually takes about 12 to 15 minutes to complete the Regen cycle. I asked 2 different dealers here where I live, and they don't think it's a problem. I don't agree, it doesn't seem right to me.

It is doing the regen cycle while you are brush hogging? Why r u running it at 2200 RPMs? Isn’t PTO speed at like 2500-2600?

I am reading about problems with regeneration and "limp home mode" alarmingly often. I haven't bought yet. Should I be looking for an older tractor that isn't saddled with the stuff? Should I buy a newer one that has the emission bugs worked out? Should I hope I am one of the 99% who have no problems?

I tend to have less than 50 hours a year and baby equipment. (Dad says I lug stuff and need to work it harder.) Dad says he has zero interest in a tractor especially a baby tractor. (He thinks you spell "bulldozer" " B - O - B - C - A - T". Before his heart attack, he would log at least 100 hours a year.)

If you can find and older tractor that suites what you need, then that's what I'd buy.
Leave the headache for the people who think new is better. The up keep on the new stuff will only get very expensive as it gets older.

Here's a screen shot from the M7060 owner's manual as far as engine speed correlating to PTO speed:

So 2200 is about right if not using EPTO.

But I mowed 60 acres this summer already with my M7060, using EPTO the entire time, and only saw one regen cycle, very brief. So if the OP's M7060 is regenerating that often @ 2200 rpm, in the summer heat, then something is wacky. (My M7060 HDC12 is a 2016 model and has, if I remember correctly, about 250 hours on it.)

I spoke to a service manager about this issue. He said, as long as it is able to do a complete Regen, the tractor isn't running hot, and there is no loss of power, he would not be too concerned. He would be more concerned if the tractor was not able to do a complete Regen cycle. He suggested making sure the air filter isn't too dirty. He said if the air filter is too dirty, it can make it Regen more frequently. So I blew mine out good. It had some dust on it, but not too bad. We'll see. Thanks for all the comments, and advice.
