Redneck Mower Dude from Tennessee

Hello, I live in Knoxville Tennessee, and am going through a period of Riding Mower ****. The grass is growing but my mowers are in operative..

I joined because I have a '03 John Deere L130 automatic (Tuff Torq K46) that has failed AND a '03 John Deere L100 with a blown engine and a 5 speed (Dana Spicer ?360-149 / é„*M131576a). I need to get one of them running, and heard the L100 5 Speed is a "bold in" swap for the POS Tuff Torq transmission in the L130. Can anyone verify this and/or point me toward more info for making the swap?

I am a pretty good shade tree mechanic..
