Recommended Tire-Set

My dk5510 , 2015, owners manual lists recommended tire sets. Set 1: front 8-16, rear 12.4-24. Set 2: front 9.5-16, rear 13.6-24.

My tires are front, 8-16, and rear 13.6-24.

My questions are 1-are the owner’s manual reliable. 2- will a mismatched set cause binding or wear on the 4WD.

I just purchased this tractor. 250 hours, used on chicken farm to unload feed pallets.

CAnt answer if the manual is accurate or not. But yes, mis-matched tire sizes will cause more wear. With the smaller front tires paired with the larger rears....you are pushing the fronts and that isnt desirable. You actually want the fronts to pull slightly faster.

I agree with LD1, and it might be a good idea to verify tire sizes with a dealer. I would suggest that you service the front axle with fresh oil and grease due to it’s work history….

I went to a kioti dealer, Reedy Creek Equipment, which confirmed the tire combination was correct.

I have found some inconsistencies with the manual I received with the tractor. Tires size chart was one and grease points on the top link was another.

I can be a bit ocd, so when things don’t match up exactly I try to reconcile.
