Recommended battery for Ford 1841

Hi Guys,

I have not yet gotten my user manual for my tractor though I have one on order now. But I need to get a battery for my new baby.
Ford 1841-S

What's the recommended battery for this tractor?

The guy I got it from had some old junky car battery in there and I'm not sure which orientation the terminal posts should be in and what the proper size and CCA should be.

Gas or diesel engine?

He has a gasser in there. I can remember the series offhand, but positive post on my 861 is on the port side, negative on the starboard side. You mileage my vary on an industrial.

Well I just got a simple car battery 26-3 size I think ...from Walmart. I got it for 52 dollars so it was a great deal. It worked fine starting my tractor so I should be OK. I can even go slightly larger with my battery if I want more CCA (Cold Cranking Amps). This battery has 550 so it's not too bad.
