the electric clutch on my cub cadet 14 hp kholer 1 inch shaft recently dissassembled its self. The bearing was kinda dry and rough and ate the collar that the bearing turns on. the three metal tabs that connect the bearing to the clutch plate broke. It looks to me that if I heated the clutch plate hub the collar would separate from the hub. then I could replace the collar and the fabricate the three metal tabs which rivet onto the other pieces. I suppose the tabs are spring steel. Has any one had expierience with this? I am way too thrifty to buy a new clutch. we have several feet of snow in North Dakota and this is my snowblower. For the mean time I bought a pulley and have direct drive which works ok so far. Buying a used clutch would be another possibility. If I could find one.
