Have a Vermeer 605 F, been thinking about upgrading. There is a 5400 Rebel baler in an upcoming auction. What will the weight of the bale be in comparison to the one the 605F makes? Any Pro’s and Cons for the 5400 rebel?
Anything to look for in the Rebel, I have no idea of the condition of the Baler, it is an estate sale so hopefully it is in good condition
I have an International 1066 tractor, will this be too much HP for the rebel?
What should be the price range of this baler, I been thinking about getting a 605 Super J, or a JD 535, but not found any for sale in my area. I also noticed a JD 566 baler in an auction in few weeks, but figure it will go for more than I want to pay.

The Rebel 5400 is a great baler. It will bale anything in any condition; Haylage, Corn stalks, Peanut hay,etc
This is a smaller baler that your current 605F. The 5400 baler will make a bale 5'x4' and have the average weight of 1200 Lbs in dry moisture hay. Your 25-30 year old 605F baler make a 2000 bale when they are 6'x5'. Market on a Rebel 5400 will be from $7,000- 10,500. A new one is $13,000.
