I was looking at the dealer Friday at the 2 seater for around $22,000 with plow, and the 4 seater for around $24,000 with plow to replace my 07 Rhino 660 SE.

I would hope that it's able to be as rock solid, dead nuts reliable as a work machine hauling wood, hauling river rock, plowing and found general property maintenance.

So please fill me in, is there something else I should be looking at?

Priority is hydraulic dump, largest possible bed and most payload capability with ability to do all of these on slopes and on slimy clay.

I like that 4 seater that the seats flip up and the dump bed unfolds. Man is that a machine!

If not having the nice cab of the 1100C is a dealbreaker you should skip the open 1140. If the nice cab is not a must you should look at the 900.

I do want the heat and AC, my father is 69 and the weather is just starting to effect him, but seeing that his father ran out to almost 90, I want to make sure that he's comfortable with using the machine no matter if it's hot or cold.

Have you test drove the 1100C cab model? I was all set to but one. They are sweet. Only thing that caught me by surprise is I found it loud in the cab. More so than I would have thought considering how the brochure says they are so insulated and quiet, LOL.

But despite having read some people saying they are low on power, I was climbing hills with my wife and son in it that were making me nervous. It will climb anything, but it does lose speed. But it will keep pulling.
And we tried it on a very hot day and the AC was blowing ice cold air not long after i started it.

They are a very nice capable machine. Only reason I never bought it was I wanted to replace all my atv's but then realized I wouldn't be happy with having it as my only trail riding machine due to it's low top speed. I want something that can go on long trips with my atv friends as well as work.
If Kubota could give us 35 MPH out of it I would buy it no second thoughts. But 24 to 25 is just too slow for my needs.

Yes I have RickB. My dealer has sold a few already. They are nice too and you can add a cab, but no AC. But the pricing is so close to the diesel 1100C it makes it hard too.

Ultimately the big deal killer for me is I am still trying to sell 2 of my Polaris (one gone so far), so until I do I'm not buying anything because I don't like financing or payments. If I can't sell them, i will just keep them and use them. I don't want three
atv/utv's sitting here paying insurance on them all for the little we use them.

If the 1100 cab could just have a little more top speed it could be perfect for what I wanted.....one machine that can do everything.

I've had an RTV-X1120D for 2 years now, and it's been am awesome workhorse. No complaints at all, although prepare to be annoyed when changing gears -- it's as tedious as changing gears on your tractor, but since the RTV doesn't have an HST treadle to do forward and reverse, you'll be changing gears a lot more often anytime you want to change direction.

I noticed that too with the 1100C. It went into every gear and forward and reverse, but it was notchy.

I thought it was just because it was new?

My Paystar in my avatar was like that when I picked it up new. I felt like a rookie trying to shift it that first day, LOL. It was very sticky until it broke in a bit.

Sounds similar to the Rhino, it's high range, low range and reverse. Moving the shifter is always a fun challenge.... Not!

Speed is not an issue to me, I'd say that around 12 to 15 is my typical top speed unless I'm running my dog, but 20 is faster than I'd ever want to be winding around the hills and trees.

The earlier comment about showing down on hills is of interest to me being that I have no flat property aside from my driveway. The Rhino has no issues holding around 8 to 10 mph with a maxed out load going uphill... The biggest issue I have is that the front end gets really light and you can't always turn while going uphill.

The Rhino is 1050 LBS if I remember correctly, this thing is around 2,200 LBS so it should haul a half ton easier than the Rhino does.
