Kubota L2800 4WD FEL
I got a price of 11,800 for the tractor and an additional $3200 for a Woods FEL. So $14k for both. How does this sound? Any experiences good or bad with a Woods FEL????

Thanks
Wade

Wade, is this a 2WD, 4WD, gear or hydro unit? If it is a 4WD hydro, then the price is VERY GOOD and will be hard to beat. Woods makes a great loader and can often times lift more than a standard NH loader. We would install more here but the main drawback that we find is the placement of the loader joystick and the hydro lines are exposed to abrasion. The joystick is mounted up and away from the operator so you may experience fatigue if operated for exptended periods as you "reach out" to control the stick. The hosing usually has a protective sheathing cover but the placement of a metal guard of some sort would probably not only look better to clean up the clutter but would also serve to protect the lines from tree branches and debris during close quarter use.

Hope this helps,
Larry

Thanks Larry! Is there any reason why a dealer would offer the woods FEL over what NH has?

Sometimes Woods has better stocking terms than NH and lead times can sometimes be better. NH recently changed their loader lineup and numbers and that usually effects ship dates as they "get it together".

Also, the Woods loader is preferred by some dealers because it is built a little heavier and can lift more. Some customers prefer NH on NH attachments so everything matches but Woods will paint the loaders to match the tractor, blue, orange, etc so that is really not an issue.

The only other thing to consider is whether you will have a warranty coverage issue if the loader "breaks the tractor". I believe that NH could have non-coverage in those cases but Woods would pay for the repairs. Best to clarify with your dealer before signing anything.

Good luck and thanks for choosing BLUE! :)

Cost, 15k not bad for a TC-30 hydro, plus loader, compare specs on the woods vs nh loader, when compare the prices.

mine was 14050 in 2003 with a nh 7308 loader, also mine is gear driven not a hydro, hydro was about 1k in 2003
