Kubota L3301
Does anyone use rear view mirrors to brush hog? My neck is sore after try to look over my shoulders pushing brush hog into perimeter of the woods. Is there any other uses for mirrors if I get them? What are the best ones and where do I mount them? Do I only need1 or a set. I know theres a lot of questions here, but I like to hear as many comments as I can. My tractor is a Kubota L3301 with a front grapple on it and a 5’ brush hog on the back.

Mirror, mirror on the wall.... I mounted one on the right side of my open station M9. I used an 'All States Ag replacement mirror (similar to the OEM Kubota mirrors) and fabbed a bracket using the top most bolts on the loader uprights to mount the bracket which I made from flat stock 1"x 1/4" and welded the upright part at 30 degrees off vertical. Only the right side because getting on and off would be difficult with a mirror on the left side.

I use golf cart mirrors when I use the flail or back in the backhoe.
Magnet attached so limbs don't break them.

I have a set of golf cart mirrors I got off Amazon on my B2620. I mounted them to the loader stanchions by drilling two small holes for each mirror in a non stress area. But since I have done that I have seen other solutions people have come up with, such as using magnets and adhesives if you don't want to drill holes.

I also bought the black plastic Kubota mirrors for my RTV that everyone said was garbage. But I had no trouble with them staying in place while even trail riding. But then my son got to close to an object plowing last winter and he shattered one. So I got these two 8 inch Grote convex mirrors that went right on to the Kubota brackets. I like them even better, they have a way larger field of view.

So there are lots of options for you. Try going to a class 8 truck dealer or parts store. They carry, or can get numerous different types of mirrors and brackets from companies like Grote. And they are cheap.

As for your other question, I have a rear snow blower on my tractor and I can go down my driveway now without even turning around or looking over my shoulder.

Thanks for the info everyone. I’ll be looking for mirrors. I‘ll be wanting a snowblower. Lol. It’s on the list now. I use a back blade but now I may push more than pull. That way on not pulling over my tracks

I've got 2 side view mirrors (L&R) mounted to my FEL super structure. First pair was for a jeep wrangler. Worked good for year or so, then the vibration and bumps of mowing took it's toll on the stabilizing mechanism for the mirrors, and they got floppy.

Replaced them this year with a pair from O'Reilly for trucks/sport utes. Seem to be made much better. I direct them so I can see my mower sides to make sure I don't leave a "row of shame" of uncut grass. And it helps with going around trees too.

Can you please post a photo of your mounting bracket?

I bought two BIG convex golf cart mirrors, and mounted them up under my canopy. They are butted up against each other and aligned to act like one big mirror (except there's a "seam" in the middle of the view). I look up at about a 45 degree angle to see them.

I then mounted a third mirror of the same type, as far aft as it can be under the canopy. I have to tip my head back uncomfortably to see it, but it looks down vertically at the tractor back end, so it's good for backing up to an implement precisely (which is a very occasional move).
