John Deere 3032E
I would like to mount either 1 or 2 rear view mirrors on my JD 3032e and was wondering if anyone else has tried this and how it turned out. No cab so thinking this may be a challenge.

Might be a challenge.

Do you run with the FEL attached most of the time? Might mount to the standards.

Or to the fenders and have to look right/left like mirrors on car doors. Will be up to you to decide the trade-offs.

How would you use the mirrors? For implements on the 3ph? For other pull-type equipment? For just traffic? Curious, and use will dictate a good solution.

On Original cab for 2305 , there are 2 vertical tubes coming off the upper and lower screws of dash extending above top of dash guessing 5 inches.. then a horizontal piece about the same width of floor board. I would mount one on each end of horizontal piece . If needed add a piece to each mirror to give more height.
They used 1/2 tubing 16ga and just smashed the ends down to either drill holes in end or to bend around the horizontal piece and then welded the two together. No welder just bolt the pieces together.
If FEL mine has a hole already in upright next to dash mount mirrors to the upright of fel. Ofcourse when fel come off mirrors goes with fel.
With mounting to dash using the bolts about 1/2 down dash and mounting it that way always stays with tractor.. plus gives a extra place to grab on to to get on or off of tractor.
Instead of tubing could use L channel.
Here are 2 photos without the windshield ,doors and outer covering .
Hope they help if you click on photo and then click again it shows the side of dash.

There was a post in the last month or three that had a picture of a European Deere. I do not recall the model number, but I'm pretty sure it was a newer 3xxx series open station tractor (3032e or 3038e sounds right).
Apparently, mirrors are required on tractors sold in some European countries if the tractor is used on the roads.

The poster's mirrors were clamp-ons. They were clamped to each grab handle on the fenders. Kind of neat and I wish they were available in the US.

I wanted to use them for viewing behind me out on the road at the end of my driveway but also to make sure no one is behind me since my daughter and wife are usually shoveling snow somewhere in the area too. Every once in a while I go to look behind me and inadvertantly lift my behind off the seat and the tractor stops as it is designed to do. I like the handle idea but was also thinking maybe there was a way to mount them to the ROPS. Only problem might be bangin my head all the time on them. I'll take a look at the European ones and see what they are doing. Of course if the tractor hood was metal I could just stick one on with a magnet. I might also be able to do that with the FEL as I have no plans to ever take that off anyway. Thanks.

I picked up a couple of Stearns universal ATV mirrors at wally world ($19.88 each) & mounted them on the grab handles of my 3038e. Here's a link to the post.

I didn't find out til later that the mirrors actually do adjust within their mounts, so fine tuning their direction is pretty easy. The arm attaches to the base with a screw & nut combo, so they will rotate if side swiped.
