Rear remotes

Hey I've got a question for you other ls owners out there. My 3039 like most other ones have the rear remotes on it and I'm wondering what equipment could be used to merit putting remotes on a compact tractor. I have used a large "bat wing" bush hog and a very large set of disc harrows but that was on a big old farm tractor. This type of implements would be to much for a compact wouldn't it? What are you guys using with your remotes? They are on there so I want to use them for something other than talking points

I don't have a LS but I have 2 rear remotes for a top and tilt kit. You can run a wood splitter, a box blade with hydraulic scarfires, down pressure kit for a post hole digger, hydraulic feed on a chipper, and many more thing I can't think of now with remotes. Your tractor would be to small for the batwing or disc you are talking about.

Ok thanks I was wondering what I could use them for. I was certain it was to small to use what I was talking about but thats all I've ever used with remotes on a big ag tractor. I didn't know what else was out there really.

If you do much grading at all, you will really appreciate having Top and Tilt cylinders on your 3pt hitch. Another nice thing to have if you happen to have either a rear blade or a landscape rake is a hydraulic to angle the blade or rake. It gets old real fast having to get off and on the tractor to make all the adjustments that need to be made to get the job done right. There are many many hydraulic optioned implements out there that are just right for your tractor. Enough that you may find that you will need to get more than what LS even offers. (3 rear remotes I think) If that happens the easiest thing to do is to get a diverter valve. But you have to get that far first.

I have triple remotes (3 pairs of quick disconnects) on the rear of my 2008 Mahindra 5525. Use them for my grain drill and for the 8-ft wheel disc.

I have 3 remotes on my TYM451 I use them for my shaver sc25 stump grinder and also have a 3pt woodsplitter

I rented a Harley rake on a CTL that worked great. The rental guy said that the 3 point version works well too. It's PTO driven but the angle feature is pretty nice.

I use the rear remotes on my Montana for opening/closing the clamps on my FEL grapple.

Heck I even have dual remotes on front of my lawnmower (332 JD diesel) but only use one set for raising the deck. I think they were put on for running a snow blower or something similar or maybe if a rear 3PH was installed which mine doesnt have. There are lots of things that a hydraulic ram can power: how about a hydraulic powered jack for lifting equipment, houses etc. Maybe not to practical but it would work.
