This is to document the homegrown fabrication and installation of Rear remotes on my L3301.
I'll be asking questions as I go for advice and I have to do a lot of this away from the tractor as I work away from home. So this will take a bit.
This is to power a Woods 7500 Backhoe and rear remotes to run a TnT setup and a back blade swing and a box blade scarifiers/guage wheels. by adding a detent, on one remote, do you think this will work to power a backhoe at 7.5 gpm?

So... first few questions.
I've decided to use this valve . Any Comments before I order?

I plan on using the follow tall and short elbow fittings for the work ports on this valve for a compact setup at the valve.

681-8-8 | 1/2" JIC Male x #8 SAE/ORB Male 9deg: DiscountHydraulicHose.com

That's as far as I have so far.
Next is figuring out the size of the Tee to order and what fittings or hose ends I need to connect the hoses from the Valve block to manifold block under the floorboard of the tractor.

Comments and better ideas are welcome. I've pulled a lot of information from Fallon,Teg, Piston, JJ, Mountain View and so many others that I've shared.

I used a single spool Prince Wolverine Series 8 gpm valve for a 3rd function grapple control in April of 2011. It is on a L3010 which is very similar in size to your L3301.
It has not given me a bit of trouble and gets plenty of use.

Kubota L32 TnT & 3rd function install (work in progress) documents my TnT build on my L3200, which is going to be the same as your L3301 other than emissions.

Your writeup was one of my main reasons for me to do this myself.
Fallon, do you remember (or is it in your spreadsheet) the fittings used in the manifold block under the floorboard? If so, I missed it. I remember you said your spreadsheet may have had the wrong sizes the first time.

The Tee for the return size and ends specifically. I am preordering as much as I can but I'm on the road working and away from the tractor.

Pretty sure I only messed up fitting relating to the valve. I dont recall needing any adapters for the Kubota manifold block. I couldn't tell you any fitting sizes in general as it was a few years ago, so my notes in that thread (or elsewhere) are your best shot.

So I have the valve mentioned above but wanted to make sure about something. On the enclosed instructions, it says (on the left) to install the high pressure carry over plug inside C port.
But over the top of the same diagram it says to discard the high pressure carry over plug.
???

If you need to power another valve after this one, i.e. 3pt hitch, use the carry over plug. If it is the last valve in the system, you can discard the carry over plug. ;)

Thank you. I get it now.

I started assembling my control valve today. IMG_0117.jpg

But as I was installing the detent kit on one spool and as I moved the handle to test it, the outer spool fell off. I’m trying to figure out which way it’s supposed to go back on. IMG_0120.jpgIMG_0121.jpgIMG_0122.jpg

I think the outer piece should go on with the lip inside first then the inner piece with the screw installed. But that would keep the outer piece from falling off as it did when I moved the handle originally.

It fits both ways but I can’t feel any detent by moving the handle either way on the bench. Maybe pressure is needed?

I want one spool to have a manual detent to feed the backhoe that I’m also working on installing.

Any body know for sure how that outer cylinder goes ? Lip in or out?

It came without paperwork from Surplus Center. I’ll call them this week if the brain trust doesn’t know.IMG_0118.jpg

Edit post...
I found a picture on the interweb.IMG_0123.jpg
Looks like I’m wrong and the lip should be installed out.

Thanks
Lenny
