Long time lurker, first time poster. Please bear with me.
NH T1510, 6.2 GPM pump flow. Need/want a rear remote to run a top link. Long term, looking to either add a bucket grapple or a dedicated grapple.
So my question is, why wouldn't I just add a solenoid diverter valve 3rd function now with lines run to the rear (figure $700 done) and then just add a manual diverter valve downstream of the 3rd function valve ($200) to switch between the top link and the grapple when I get around to the grapple? My thinking is this: with the limited flow of the pump, running multiple functions at one time is most likely not very feasible anyway, so why spend the extra cash ($1400 total) for two independent systems?
As I see it, pros:
Cost
Ability to feather grapple with the loader valve (true PB solenoid 3rd function valve is either open or closed; no feathering)
Cons:
The reach to the loader joystick when connecting the top link.
Can't switch between toplink and grapple without switching the manual valve.
What say ye? Thanks.
