Rear PTO on 4410e

Need some help. My rear PTO on my 4410e quit. I serviced my tractor about 3 weeks ago and hooked up the blower. Everything worked fine after the service. Parked the tractor and ready for the first big dump of snow. Well we got er this last weekend so I jumps on my tractor and heads out. Flip the switch and no rear PTO. Take er into the shop and start checking it out. I don't have a manual. So my first request for help is where can I buy a manual for this unit on the net. I have read where you can get it on a disc for $20. Can someone steer me in that direction. Second question is has anyone run into this before and what was the fix? The electrical seems to work. I have power at the hyd sol when I switch the unit on. I can not feel the sol click but then I can not feel any of the sol click. I checked the resistance on the sol and it is 16 ohms as are the other 2 sol in the sol pack so I think the sol is ok. Without a manual I am kind of stumped after this point. HELP!

Here's my thought - you mentioned a blower on the PTO. Maybe a broken shear pin? It happened to me once and, not knowing what a shear pin was, it took me a while to figure out the problem. Now I have a gross of them with me at all times. Hope this helps!

Hey Thumper and Buttercup your in the wrong neibourhood. I've got a JD. But thanks anyway. Right now I wish I had a NH maybe I could blow some snow.

NWL, that is what I thought when I saw the pto shaft wasn't turning. No such luck, that fix would be too easy. I got bigger problems. I need to get myself a manual. I have read where people are getting service discs on ebay but I can not find one. Oh well off to the dealer I go.

Go to eBay and type in Deere 4410 and when that comes up click the box search title and description. There used to be a guy selling the manuals for $11.95 ppd. Deere copyright police might have got him. The only one I see now in 56.90. I will look in my manual to see if I can help.

I got the manual in front of me. Bat volts from f5 fuse to 562 red to pto switch. 574 yellow out of switch to rear PTO soleniod Y4 to ground. There is also a interlock circuit from the seat. But this should be able to tell if switch or soleioid are bad. Does anyone know how to attach a PDF file to e-mail? Then I could send it to you.

You attach it the same way you attach any other type of file. In your email program there should be a menu option called "Attach" or something similar, you select this and then it will allow to navigate to the folder on your computer where the PDF file is located. Once you're there select the PDF file you want to attach and it will be sent along with the email, as long as it's not larger than the size limit set by your ISP or email program.

Thanks for all the replys, I can not find a mauual on ebay for the 4410 so I bit the bullet and ordered from John Deere. Came to around $90 or so. That included shipping. Now to my problem with the rear PTO. I don't have the manual yet but I need my tractor/blower bad because of all the snow we have here. While serching this site under repair manuals I came across a post that had the identical problem with a 4310. The fix was have someone sit in the seat turn the rear pto on then tap the hyd sol valve with a hammer. A couple of taps with a hammer and the rear pto started to turn. Hyd sol valve is sticking. If this problem continues I will have to replace the valve pack. This pack of sol hyd valves are under the tractor (just below the seat) on the right side. Again thanks for the help. If anyone want further info on this just request and I will go into more detail.
