Just bought a 3pt snow blower for my 2210 and realized I'm going to need some light shining backwards. Any one have any picks of what they did? I'm guessing I could get some lights from JC Whitney or someone like that? I'm also hoping JD gave us a harness to tie into somewhere for lighting?

Poppin:

I don't have a pic right now, but I welded a maybe 1.5"-2" tab at the center rear top of the rops, drilled a hole in it and mounted a 55watt work light there. It works well for rear work and for the backhoe.

You can tie into a harness that's below the plastic in the rear. It will go on only when the blinkers are not on but works file. The stock work lights are 35 watts - I run the headlights, two forward facing 35watt work lights, and a 55watt rear work light and the stock 20amp alternator is fine for that and I don't drain the battery.

If you don't want the forward facing ones you can mount two on the light brush guards on the side and have two facing backward.

Here is a link to my LIGHTING project...I also did my neighbors 2210 almost the same except I put the 2 switches in the blank panel next to the parking brake handle.

There is a wire (purple I think) taped to the harness under/behind the seat for a rear worklight-but I think it's only rated for one light, and only comes on with the headlights.

Here's mine.

I originally had 2 front facing work lights on the bar, tapped into the headlight wiring. When I put the cab on, I used the bar for one rear work light.

The light bar is a 2" diameter iron pipe, 14" long. Holes are drilled near the ends so you can get a wrench onto fasteners. Pipe is fastened with u-bolts with a spacer between the underside of the ROPS and the pipe, so wires can exit the existing holes on the underside of the ROPS. Wiring is fished through the ROPS and follows the taillight harness to the front of the operating station and up into the dashboard to the switch. The switch is located in the blank intended for cruise control. The switch is fed from a tap into the white with red tracer wire that feeds the starter switch (so it is directly from the battery, with an in-line fuse).

The pipe increases the amount of vertical adjustment (you can move the light up and down by twisting the pipe in the u-bolts before tightening. If you don't have a cab, you can rotate the lights to shine forward or to the side. This mounting does not increase overall height, if you have clearance problems.
