I have a 2003 New Holland TC45 D and the rear hydraulic arms raise but wont lift any weight. I just changed the hydraulic oil and filter; the front end loader works fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am having the same issue with my Iseki and believe the lift cylinder for the 3 pt hitch is blown or the bracket holding the cylinder is broken.
I plan on tearing it apart very soon!

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping for a simple fix but that would be too easy. :)

Use a hyd gage to check pressure through out your hyd system. You may be losing pressure somewhere else. Isn't there an adjusting knob on the back somewhere for the 3pt. Turn it both ways and see what happens.

It is possible that a small plug inside your loader control valve has come loose. This allows oil flow that should be directed to the Power Beyond loader valve port to flow instead to the Return, or Tank port and directly back to the tractor's sump rather than through the power beyond circuit to the 3PT hitch valve as it is supposed to.
To check this, remove either the tube and adapter leading from the PB port or R port (perhaps T) and look for a 1/4" NPT Allen head plug that is either loose or fully out of its threaded bore. I have seen this happen a couple times, I just don't remember whether the plug is under the PB port or Return port.

To help with what RickB said, I'm including an illustration and a photo. The illustration shows where to locate the hex-head plug. There is another plug below/inside this one that would be loose. Remove this plug and look for the allen head below it. I've included a picture of the joystick valve with the plastic cowling removed for easier location.

In addition, if you have a remote lever that is sticking, it can cause your 3PH to not operate properly. Check that all remote levers are centered.

AMAZING!! The power of the internet and the kindness of common people. The loose plug in the loader control valve was the culprit. I had an appt set up tomorrow to take it in to the dealer so the help was VERY appreciated. The picture was very helpful as well. Thanks to all.

Glad you solved your issue. My neighbor was not so lucky had the same type problem. They ended up splitting the machine and found chunks of metal :eek:. They told him it looked like someone had missed tightening an inside bolt{the ole saying was used "friday or monday build" :(}
