Anyone know of a manufacturer that makes some sort of system to run duals on a compact tractor?

I saw some stuff unvenferth made, but had no luck in contacting them.

This would be for stability on very uneven terrain.

They do not deal with consumers. They operate through various dealers. They have a dealer locator on their site.

Unverferth Equipment

There is a Hutson in KY who is a dealer.

I've found no good alternatives.

Thowle,

I was going to suggest wheel spacers, but I see you already have them. They used to weld four "D" rings to both of the rims and use a screwtype turnbuckle with hooks on each end to pull them together. There was usually a spacer ring mounted between the two wheels. Your John Deere may know of them and if still available for your wheels. This was the poorman's way of adding duals to a tractor that did not have extended axles.

If you were pulling hard, it was not uncommon to break the weld on one of the "D" rings. If you add duals, I would suggest removing your spacers.

Several companies made clamp-on dual wheels back in the 70's-80's when I was employed by a JD dealer.. DMI,Unverferth,M&W were some of them. It would surprise me if JD recommended dual wheels for a 3520 or any other CUT for that matter.

Here's another way to increase stability--use wider tires with smaller diameter rims and shorter front axle spindles.

My 1964 MF135 diesel field tractor has been converted to squat low for work in the orchard. The larger 30+ inch diameter rear rims have been replaced by 16" dia rims carrying BF Goodrich 6-ply 18.4-16A rubber (18" wide, 16" dia rim, 40" tall overall). Shorter front axles are used to keep the tractor level. It should have plenty of stability for mowing, etc on your hills.

My Mahindra dealer has made this type of mods on 40hp CUTs for several customers.

My guess is that this type of mod would be less expensive than dualies since then you have the cost of the two additional rears plus the cost of a pair of adapters.

Good luck

Check with tractor tire dealer for snap on duals for your tractor you can buy used tires for duals
I put a set on my JD-110 TLB was going to take them off when I didn't need them, after running them I will never take them off. best thing I ever did. VERY STABLE PUT YOUR SEAT BELT ON.
It will slide where it wont stick on a hillside no hint of turning over. Forget the spacers.

I originally went with 1000# of RimGuard distributed amongst all four tires, and it helped quite a bit on my 30 acres of diagonal over here by Dawson Springs. But it still didn't lower the pucker factor enough to suit me. So I too went with 4" MotorSport spacers on the rear. They did the trick; RimGuard + spacers = 3720 stability. I was so impressed with the 4" spacers on the rear, I ordered a pair of 2.5" for the front. Very happy with RimGuard plus MotorSport spacers (x4). It's unlikely your acreage is any more radical than mine, so you're welcome to take a drive over here and test drive my 3720 on the diagonal

I bought a set of brand new tires and rims on eBay. $600 including the shipping. I had a 4" wide spacer made that fit in each rim and just manufactured a hook and eye setup with a 1" bolt to hold everything on. The center bolts need to be good and tight as they will loosen up over time. I check for tightness regularly and might just change that part of the setup at some point in time. I made good money doing this as the local irrigation district hired me to mow some ditches. I didn't want to mow them the safe way as it was too time consuming. With duals I could easily run along a 45 degree bank without worrying about upsetting the tractor .
