Mowing RCK-60 mower decks - interchangeable?

Hi All,

I currently have a B2410 with a RCK60-24B mower deck attached.

I have recently picked up a B3030 to which I wish to attach a mower deck.

I see that the model number for the B3030 is RCK60-30B.

Does this mean that the decks are in fact identical, but the gubbins to make the decks fit are different? Or are the differences more substantial than this? If it simply is the fitting kit that differs are these readily available from Kubota dealers? Also, does anyone know if a mulching kit is available for either of these decks? I have some Kubota literature that suggests they are, but no one can find an appropriate part number for me.

As a B3030 owner, I've been wondering those same things about deck interchangeability. Good questions.

As an aside -- if you do decide to ever spend money on a deck for your B3030, I'd highly recommend the 72" MMM (RC72-30B) over the 60" MMM for this tractor. I originally bought the 60" deck for my B3030, but returned it after a couple of mowings. The extra width of the 72" deck makes it so much easier to mow along fencelines and around trees, etc... That was a $1200 lesson I learned the hard way.
