RC100 Broken Curl Cylinder

For the RC100 owners, keep a close eye on the curl cylinder end bushings. I noticed a hairline crack while mulching, 3 minute trip back to the shop and the bushing split. Fortunately the mulcher was not up in the air when the bushing cracked open.

The $460 replacement cylinder from ASV is a lot sturdier. I'll be checking the right side during every preflight.

Why didn't you just get a new end welded on?

I'll get a new end welded on the old cylinder. I wanted a spare.
