Rayco C87L and others...
I was surprised to come across this. This article says Rayco was bought by Morbark.

Morbark Announces Acquisition of Rayco Manufacturing Business Wire Website November 02, 2017:
Morbark Announces Acquisition of Rayco Manufacturing | Business Wire

Morbark was acquired by a private equity firm in 2016. Stellex Capital must see the stronger parts of both companies as complementary; this makes sense.

Still, I thought the history of Rayco was really cool. An inventive founder started and built a remarkable manufacturer from scratch. He has (or had) his kids working with him.

Admittedly, they had missteps in our field. These are well discussed in threads here. I don't know how a mid-sized company competes with the big names owned by multinational corporations. I'm guess just a fan of family businesses.

I talked to a Rayco dealer the other day that did not know this. I had read about it a month or so ago in one of my trade magazines.
Vermeer is a family business too.
