I was surprised to come across this. This article says Rayco was bought by Morbark.

Morbark was acquired by a private equity firm in 2016. Stellex Capital must see the stronger parts of both companies as complementary; this makes sense.
Still, I thought the history of Rayco was really cool. An inventive founder started and built a remarkable manufacturer from scratch. He has (or had) his kids working with him.
Admittedly, they had missteps in our field. These are well discussed in threads here. I don't know how a mid-sized company competes with the big names owned by multinational corporations. I'm guess just a fan of family businesses.
