Ratchet Rake on ice

I was fixing a pothole with my new Ratchet Rake today and it was cold enough to have me thinking about snow and ice. I was thinking the RR might be great for roughing up ice on my steep hill. Did a quick search and found this note from a couple of months ago - http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/snow-removal/220153-york-rake-ice.html Maybe it was too early to be thinking about ice back then.

So do any of you RR owners have any experience using it as an ice scraper?
