Rat trap...for tree rats.

Ha! I've been downsizing the tree rat population with CB caps from my .22 and as much fun as that is, its time consuming. A friend suggested I put a rat trap or two in the tree with some peanut butter....
Of course I had to try it! Screwed the rat trap to the tree and set it.
It didn't take long before I heard it snap. Seems pretty humane and fast. Now if I can just get my lab to stop bumming all the bait!

I've got pecans and English walnuts planted that I hope will produce for me in a few years. I'll have to remember that trick. I don't seem to have much of a tree rat population right now, but I bet they move in big time when my nut trees start producing.
