Is anyone familiar with Ranch Hand? They look a lot like Jinmas to me, but I'm no expert in the smaller tractors. It makes service a lot easier when you know what other models they can swap parts with.

I originally posted this in the Other Brands forum, and someone suggested that I move it here. Thanks for any help!

Familiar with Ranch Hand Tractors .... No.

Looks like Foton to me.

Interesting statements on his/her site.

Definitely misleading to the uninformed buyer. Another outfit - Minot I think - does something similar, but slightly less misleading. Their claim is "ASSEMBLED WITH PRIDE IN INDIANA ". I guess that's technically true; tractors are imported partially assembled in crates, assembly and prep work is then (typically) completed by the importing dealer. But I'd say this RanchHand outfit crossed the line with the "Buy American, Buy a Ranch Hand Tractor " banner.

I hate to say it but that falls under Freedom Of Speech.

There is a guy in Washington State trying to sell Yuchai dozers that says the tracks can be adjusted with grease.

They will get away with it until someone calls them on it.

No - actually I think consumer fraud laws trump freedom of speech

Greg, that may be true. However, "They will get away with it until someone calls them on it."

Give the man a break.

He says "On our DXL4452 and DXL4452C Models, Only 35% or less of what you pay for the tractor goes to Southeast Asia (Japan, China, Korea). The other 65% or more, goes to American Made Parts, American Labor, and American Freight.

On our DXL3402 Model, Only 30% or less of what you pay for the tractor goes to Southeast Asia (Japan, China, Korea). The other 70% or more, goes to American Made Parts, American Labor, and American Freight".

He must be replacing some bolts or wiring to qualify for American parts.

Maybe even expensive American air in the tires ?

I didn't see those statements on the website myself. Had I, you'd have seen me turn tail and run the other way. What that tells me is that this outfit has a 65 to 70 percent markup over FOB China cost.

Oh, wait. Make that 65 to 70 percent markup over FOB California. I'm gonna bet those tractors travel under Chinese flag as least as far as Long Beach
