I put about 3-4 oz of Seafoam in the tank of my 420 garden tractor today thinking it was full of gas after I last used it. Well it probably actually had less than half a gallon of gas in there because I ran out after 10 minutes. When I refilled the gas it started right up and ran just fine. Is there any damage that burning this much seafoam on an empty tank would have done? The bottle says 1 oz per 1 gallon of gas and I probably used 6 times that amount of seafoam to gas.

Should be okay.

I have ran it as high as 50/50 in my weedeater trying to clean the carb. Above that ratio it wont run. I doubt you did any damage, after all it is a petroleum distillate and for sure not higher octane so it wouldn't have been running overly lean.

Depending upon how much carbon you had in your fuel tank, fuel lines, carb, and cylinder(s) you may have fouled your spark plug(s). That's about the worst damage you could do. Regards, Mike

It's SNAKE OIL, how much damage can it do?

Actually I just poured a can into the crankcase of my Kubota R510 Wheel Loader trying to fix a problem I didn't have. Turned out to be a loose exhaust bracket bolt. Now I wonder how I long I should leave it in there?

It would be nice if they told you a little more about what is in there and what the theory behind their claims are.

Maybe ...... in the future .... you should add the Seafoam treatment to a known volume of gasoline on your gas can? 5 gallons = 5 oz.

Your post elicits a question.......
If it is snake oil, why would you bother purchasing any?

All I can say it works and works better if ya over dose .

I like to run a whole can to 5 gallons of gas . I see the best Results that way .

Sorry. I am a very hard person to please and/or convince. The Seafoam has me convinced for 911 frozen diesel/filter situations. The crankcase matters are harder to determine. One thing is for sure. That stuff didn't tighten my loose exhaust bracket bolt, but in all fairness, it wasn't listed on the list of cure-alls either!
