Yep slammed is a good word for it and sort of welcome... at least the rain. I am not a wind fan but we have had one heck of a summer growing season here. We are just 'victory garden' type farmers here but the hot (for us) summer has been awesome! We're getting slammed here in the Pacific NorthWest. Wind and rain like crazy! Great news for fire fighters and farmers!
Well, if you are in Eastern Wa or similar then I understand... with the wildfires and all. I'm out on the Hood Canal and it has been lovely... yeah brown and dry. But as far as snow pack in the mountains... I read that we are 9%, yes 9% of normal. Luckily our reservoirs are in better shape as there has not been any real talk of drought on the west side of the Cascades. I suspect our winter will correct. Anyways... wishing for the best to all that are in fire danger.Awesome is not the word I would choose to use. Horrible, miserable and deadly is a bit more like the terms I would use. Sorry to disagree with you Mark.
Wish we would see about 10 times the rain we have had in the last 3 days. It would still put us way behind the curve.
