Radiator Screen / Hydraulic Inter-Cooler

Hi all-

I have been considering two tractors from LS, the G3033H and the R4041H. Two concers:

1) the screen in front of the radiator seems like an afterthought on the G3033H. Hard to reach and get in and out. Does it provide adequate protection?

2) both units have a hydraulic inter-cooler located right in front of the radiator. Seems like it would get dirty quickly and need to be cleaned but there is no screen in front of it like there is for the radiator! Does anyone have and issues with this design and it getting clogged/overheating?

I live in a dry and dusty area, so those are my big concerns. And info/personal experiences you can provide on these issues would be great.

Not to sure on the hydraulic cooler, as they are only on the H versions, but I can tell you this. Go for the R series. You will be much happier if you are on the fence!

The screen on my R3039 looks almost like an afterthought too - but keep in mind, its really only there to keep dandelion seeds, and the likes out of your radiator....

i just take a air hose after i cut or work and blow down the rad and coolers,

that screen works great keeps a ton of stuff off the rad

The screen works well for me to clean. Maybe your not mechanically inclined

My screen works very well --- it does get full of junk easily. Most of the time I carry a gas powered leaf blower with me and just open the hood and blow it out as needed ---- I took that screen out once and learned to never do that again.

I have a 3033 also. Screen kind of a pain, but seen worse. If there is too much dust and debre to clean with air hose. I use simple green and rinse off. Looks like new afterwords.
