Hi ive got a 2002 1250 and my radiator cap is leaking pressure. I went to get another one and no dealer around has one and they are $45. The part number is a 3702576m1. I was wondering if there was a way to cross reference one to get at a auto parts store.

I would go to an auto parts store, and buy a 15 psi cap, (preferably with the pressure relief lever), that matches the overall size of your existing cap.

I'm pretty sure there is something out there will fit it.

Did you resolve this issue? Which cap did you purchase. I have a 1998 1250 I'd like a new cap for.

I am going to go to a dealer near me (well sort of ) and order some stuff. I will check on the price there to see how it compares. Let you know when I find out.

Did you ever find a radiator cap? I couldnt find one that cross referenced to something at the auto parts store. I went ahead and bought one at the dealer for $44

My apologies, I did not inquire about the radiator cap when I got my parts. For some reason it was to on my list of stuff to get. I did purchase a new thermostat since I had the upper hose off and it seemed like a good idea. As I remember that part was something like $60. But, since it lasted 20 years, its not a bad return on investment. The only thing is that the thermostat itself is round but the mounting plant is not. Has the thermostat off center in the mounting and the O ring is a little hard to make stay in place.

My cap part number, according to my parts manual is the same as the Hurban96's.

I do have a question for you. Where did you find the "engine" number. I have looked on the engine block and not found anything resembling an engine number.

Stant makes radiator caps and thermostats for many tractors. I would contact them and see if they can help. They supply many OEM parts for fuel and cooling systems.

Are radiator caps standard sizes? If it looks right and is 15 psi, is it close enough or is there some other attribute that I need to pay attention to?
