2014 LS R4041 & Mahindra 2810
Just bought a R4041 with a Modren Super Sunshine 5' cutter. Love the the tractor with the 8hrs I've put on it compared to my old Marhindra 2810 with 5' Howse cutter.
Anyways my dealer talked me out of the 6' cutter(he had on lot) saying that it was to big for my 4041, so I went with the 5'. The 6' cutter weight is only 140 lbs heavier and like 6" longer than the 5'. I'm starting to regret the 5', I kinda wanted a cutter at least the width as tires or just a few inches wider than the tires.
Does anyone have any experience with the 4041 and a Modern Super Sunshine 6' cutter?

Specs. on cutter
60" 72"
Transport Width: 65" 75"
Overall length 100" 106"
Weight 725 lbs 865 lbs
Horsepower Required Min. 25 30

Nope, not a thing about your brand of cutter.

My R40414H swings a MF RC72 6' cutter, 750 pounds, no problem.

Don't know why the dealer would bugger you that way!

A 6' cuter should be absolutely no problem on a 4041....my 4047 didn't seem to even know my Rhino SE6 was behind it (fairly solid unit).

4041 will run a 7 footer. I run a sitrex 6 on mine and it doesn't even know its there.

That's what I was thinking, that it was more than enough tractor for a heavy 6'. I guess I will see if dealer will work something out!
Thank y'all for your responses!

I agree, i have the xr4046hc and a 5 foot cutter that I previously owned but would much rather have a 6' cutter. I did buy a 6' finish mower and it is perfect for the tractor, I even think a 7' would be ok. I cut a tall pasture with it and the grass bunched up under it and stopped the belt-smoked it-so it surely has the power. new belt and a lot higher setting worked fine but a 6' cutter would be good for coarse work. I wasn't mowing rocks but just tall thick grass. next time I'll just raise the mower or (better yet) keep the pasture cut to a reasonable height. I was away and it got out on hand. It would have been really bad without my tractor. the year before I had to keep everything groomed with a zero-turn mower.

I ran a 7.5' Sitrex finish mower on my R4047H, and it was absolutely nowhere near putting a serious load on the machine.....didn't know it was back there.

I have an R4041HST w/ FEL with 6ft SuperShine and it's perfect for me. Not one complaint. I was leaning towards a 5ft but my dealer dragged me into the 6ft and I'm glad. He mentioned it would handle a 7ft but he & I didn't want any potential challenges with my hills. I'm very happy with my combo. Also have a 6ft Modern Ag std box scraper.

Don't you love that smooth running Mitsubishi!!!

I've got a 6' howse on my 4041 shuttle with ag tires, it's great for flat land but dogs a little if you are going up hill with some moderately heavy grass. Then again I like to cut in range 3... Haha The 6' width is perfect because it does not extend past the rear wheels to much which is nice if your in some tight situations.

Thank all of you. Yes I do Semofarm.
I'm still thinking of the 6', I may stick with the 5'er due to all the tight places on deer lease!
