Hi everyone, I'm looking for some help with my loader. I am interested in modifying it in order to make it easier to change between the bucket and forks...but I'm not looking to modify the attachments themselves (no skidsteer plates). In other words, not a true quick-attach...but a 'quicker-attach' than struggling with all for pins. Someone told me of an idea of getting an extra set of upper pins so both the bucket and fork carriage would always have them in. Then a bracket is made that would always be on the loader. It would be able to detach and attach with just the bottom pins.
I have been looking for an excuse to get a mig welder and need to learn how to weld anyways due to several projects around the farm. I have a skilled neighbor happy to teach me. If I'm envisioning this correctly, I think its something I could do here in my shop. Perhaps I would hire out the cutting though.
Does anyone have pictures of this type of project?
Here's the info on what I have:
'76 Deere 2040
145 Loader
Thanks for the help in advance.
