here's an idea i could find useful, and I can't find where anybody here
has done it.
I have a front receiver in my X585, works fine, but last week I had
to remove my snowblower and quick hitch to get to use the receiver
to move a trailer. Not a big problem, but it got me thinking about
having a bracket made that could be used as a trailer hitch, that
would snap right into the quick hitch frame, which would allow me to raise/lower
the trailer and move it around the property.
I see a frame piece of the 54 blade, I'm sure i could have it welded
and make either a receiver or permanently put a hitch that could
accept a ball. (receiver is cool cuz i already have it for the
front of the tractor frame)
Once this was made, it really would work with any of the front
hitches, on up thru the 2720 etc.
thoughts?

Excellent idea!

Your post has me wondering if you could even go a step further and actually have some kind of a three-point mount that could be carried on the front quick hitch? Then, I could use anything that goes on my three-point (such as my trailer hitch, boom pole, carryall) on the front.

Food for thought....

I'd be cautious of weight/stress up there,
but, none the less, for some lighter stuff
it might be neat to utilize the hitch for
more than blower/blade/broom

Here's the frame component of the 54 blade,
looks like the easiest one to build on, pretty
basic, although anyone that can fabricate could
start from scratch for a lot less $$$
now since i already have the blade, hmmm,
maybe it could be made to still work with
the blade and accept the receiver and i wouldn't
need to find a 2nd one ...?

I'm wondering if just 2 plates, one on the front and one
on the back, of the blade frame, with an 1-1/4 hole in the
front one, then get some of that receiver tubing, weld it between
the 2 plates.
i'll have to look at the blade/frame and see if there would be
interference there or not, could be with the springs.
otherwise, like you said, very simple to create with your
box design from that blade build you did.
