There are the expensive JD iMatch & LandPride then everything else. Everything else is pretty much equal in quality. I've gone through 4? Now & keep getting cheap ones.
1 from Northern Tool was attached to my
L3200 when it sold
2 a Speeco I think from a garage sale got welded to a SSQA plate & was the plow mount (and handy for moving impliments. It ran off with the
L3200
3 a Harbor Freight I got off CL for a friend's
L3200
4 I got from Harbor Freight & is on my new
L4060
I had to weld 1-1.5" spacer on the back of every one of em so the hook would fit all my impliments better. Most of em had the top hook bolts replaced with hitch pins for faster adjustment. I think at least 2 took some minor grinding to get the hooks to fit the CAT3 bushings.
I seriously thought about a LandPride with my new
L4060, but $100 for a cheap one vs $300 for LP... An hour or 2 of work in my shop to get it working right & the way I like it is worth $100-200 easy. The LP might even need the hook extension still. Never had a problem with durability on any of the cheap ones.
