Quick Hitch and the L3400

Thought I would ask this question here rather than in attachments hoping for a tractor specific rsponse. Looking for folks who have used a "quick hitch" on their L3400. As you 3400 owners know, the rear of these tractors are pretty narrow. My question is not about the merits or lack there of on the quick hitch, but rather how the hitch frame affects the hooking and un-hooking of the PTO shafts. All my implements are QH compatable and I was about to pull the trigger on a Speeco when I got to thinking about how much a PITA the PTO connections can be, the big frame of the hitch may make it worse. Thought I would get a few opinions from the users. TIA

I didn't mind doing the pto shaft... It isn't a problem. I didn't like how the frame would block your view of the pin.

The deal breaker was toplink didn't work for all of my attachments...

I have the landpride on mine and love it. Ya it is a little more difficult hooking the pto that is far outweighed the benefits of the QA. Landpride has the adjustable top link plus it has an extra hole in the top hook which gives you more adjustment. I have not come across anything yet that it would not work on.:thumbsup:

Thanks for the input. My reason for switching to a quick hitch is I am tired of readjusting the turnbuckles to keep the lower arms from rubbing on the tires on implement changes. I am using Carter and Sons EZ hitch and it works well but is much easier using 2 people kick things in place and align the hooks. I just don't want to trade the conveinence of a easier hook-up off for a fight with the PTO connections.
