Just got my new L6060 with Landpride quick hitch. Worked great with landpride tiller but the 3pt top connection on flail sits too high. Any off the shelf remedies?

This is one option -
quick hitch toplink adapter - Google Search

I did mine different, because I made the lower hitch solid (easier to pick up) - also, I leave the skids in the highest position and use my hydraulic toplink to set mowing height. With the rear roller resting on the ground, I extend the toplink til the blades hang 2-3" above grade. This won't work with everything on the hitch floating loose - pics below... Steve

BTW, drilling a "partial hole" like that isn't too easy without either a drill press/annular adapter/annular cutter, or the cutter in a mag drill, or a large center cut end mill...

I have often wondered. Does the quick hitch system really save time & smashed fingers. Does a specific brand of quick hitch - such as Land Pride - mean that it will only work on Land Pride implements. Does having a quick hitch limit the "range" of implements you can consider purchasing. I have - Wallenstein, Rhino, Bush Hog, Pittsburg & Land Pride 3-point implements. Would they all work on one brand of 3-point quick hitch system.

In a word - no way. IME, width between lower pins is consistent enough not to be a problem, but NOBODY seems to agree on the height above the lower pins that the top hook should be, even though there are so-called "standards"

https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/owning-operating/388498-there-standard-quick-hitch-height.html

I have the HF quick hitches on both my 40 horse older tractors, and have modded a couple implements to match a 6' Priefert tiller's dimensions; still a couple more to go, but that hasn't reached the top of the "Project Pile" yet

Priefert has discontinued about everything but horse fence stuff, but used to offer a spendier QH

PriefertMod2HFQH.JPG - eventually I intend to mod at least one of my QH's toplink that way, seems like a good idea some days

At least drilling all those holes will be fun, due to my "MDVT" project (MagDrillViseTable) XY-Rig-1.jpg XY-Use-5.jpg

I have hydraulic toplinks on both tractors, that definitely helps hookups on my uneven graveled areas. Recently added hyd. sidelink on one of the two, that one's even better in several ways. Used a 10" stroke cylinder on the side, so my Gannon box can go from about a foot higher on ONE side to a foot higher on the OTHER side. Also helps hookups.

IMDO (InMyDementedOpinion) having tractor(s) is sometimes just another excuse to buy more tools  ...Steve
