Quick Coupler Leaks

I got 4 from surplus center, S40-2 that seem to seal good, I hadn't noticed any leaking and just a drop or 2 when I disconnect.
I also used 4 ISO -A from Hose and Fitting Supply for my hoses that were much cheaper, and can buy dust caps for,they seem to seal well, I hadn't noticed any leaks at all on those 4 , I think I may switch out the S40 to the ISO-A so all my hoses are the same.

The ones for my JD 245 loader. Bought it used. All leaked. Bought new ones, they leak too.

The ones on the third function on the loader leak but it is because I don't have a crossover relief on the plow I have on. When I hit into a frozen snowbank with the leading edge of the plow it compresses the fluid in the cylinder on that side to more psi then the O-rings in the coupler can stand. When I get the cross over valve installed I'll change out the O-rings and should be all set.

Are these QD's ball or poppet style? I presume from your post these are not connected to anything. All of them are metal to seal and with no pressure it is spring load holding them closed. With no pressure try gently pushing on the ball or poppet and then see if the leak stops. It may sound dumb but try operating the lever for that function to build a little pressure on them and see if they stop leaking then. The pressure will help them seat or if the seat is damaged will leak like a sieve and at that point you know they are bad.

Have you taken then apart and cleaned them.
Might be a piece of metal on the o-ring, or grit.

Whenever I connected or disconnected my Fisher snowplow I always sprayed the connecters with WD40 to flush dirt and grime out.
Since I started to do that I never had leaks.
Also popping the valve on both male and female flushes crap away.
