OK - I have a tough one for all you great folks.
In reading the instructions....I KNOW :confused3:.... for my new Fill Rite portable RD 8 12 volt fuel pump, it says disconnect the pump from tank before transport. Actually a good idea.
So here is the question. Are there quick attach connections made for this. Something similar to quick coupling hydraulic hoses connections.
The tank bung is 3/4 NPT Female and so is the pump connection. In the kit they provided a short section of 3/4 galvanized pipe about 3 inches long to connect the pump to the tank bung, in this case a 55 gallon plastic barrel. I would love a coupling that is sealed when disconnected so nothing gets into the tank, otherwise I need to unscrew the pump and fit a 3/4 plug in the tank bung to go get fuel. Not a big problem, but the quick attach would make things easy.
I did a search but found nothing fuel rated or specific to this use.
Thanks for any help
