I recently purchased a 3 point quick connect that works great with implements that have a stationary mount for the top link. My brush cutter has a swinging top link that has to be hard attached to the quick connect. The quick connect is set up with a hook to catch the top link. I need to modify it to attach directly to the swinging mount on the brush cutter.

Any Ideas?

Hmmmm.... Wouldn't you simply run a pin thru the swinging link and then hang that pin over your top hook??

Some QH's come with a bracket to accomplish this.

Maybe I've completely missed the mark here.... :)

Pictures would help here. We have a few implements for the Deere iMatch where we have to jury rig the top link - one or two we use a short loop of chain, for the flail mower we used two approx 8 inch pieces of flat steel with drilled holes to bridge the gap, with appropriate bushings for spreading and washers around the sides of the spacers.

Yeah, that's the kind of bracket I was talking about that comes with some QH's.

Just so long as you don't make everything fixed. When using a rotary cutter with a quick hitch something needs to allow for some float or you will bend the rear arms on the cutter as you begin to drive out of a draw with the cutter lowered. Some rotary cutters have floating arms, some don't, sounds like yours has some form of it. If nothing floats then an alternative is to use chains for the rear arms for lifting, but that can take away some of the convenience of a quick hitch.

Bush Hog brand has two styles of mount on the rotary mowers. I got the Quick Attach compatible and it has a pivot in the top link support that goes to the tail. It lets the tail lift when the mower is still going down hill when the tractor is going up hill.

My Speeco QH came with the adapter like in the pic. If you use it, make sure there is enough room to pivot so things don't crunch.
