questions re:electric controls on TA357F, etc.

Hi Everbody I looked at a nice Iseki TA357F today. Ran real nice, has a great cab and in real good shape. The hour meter is showing 2100hrs but its not working!!
Was wondering if anybody has knows how to work the electric 3pt hitch and if they are reliable (or can be easily over-ridden if not). Despite all my efforts I could barely get it to move. This tractor also has the shuttle shift on the column. I am wondering if its a mechanical shuttle or hydraulic.
My last question is a bit of a general one. This tractor, as well as a couple other ones I looked at had a bit of play in the front wheels (side to side when I pushed on the top of the wheel). How much play is okay in this type of 4wd. The TA has the same front axle as a TL2900 that I looked at. It did not have any play. Can this be adjusted out or does the play indicate worn out or abused parts. Thanks in advance for any info provided.

ps for anybody who's wondering what I did with my Hinomoto E2304 it developed a problem with the 4wd and the guy I bought it from is letting me trade it back in on something else. Too bad because I really liked it.

There should not be play in the fwd & it can not be adjusted.

Hi lens12 The TA357 was a nice machine, shuttle shift and a great cab. I went for the TL2900F instead though. It runs great and everything is good and tight on it. Your reply helps me confirm I did the right thing. Thanks
