I have been hearing that there may be some issues with using a backhoe attachement using a 3 point hitch mount. I am using a Woods 750 backhoe on a NH TC35D tractor.

I use the BH once in a while to dig rocks and small stumps out of pasture so I don't hit them while mowing.

I was assured by the dealer that this was not a problem and that this is a common configuration with no consequences or concerns. The dealer also said that this did not affect the warranty of the tractor.

Appreciate any past experience/information.

I assume you are asking if you need a subframe? I have a woods 750 on my TC45D. No problems to date. The hoe was mounted on my JD970 off and on for 9 years with no problem. It has no subframe. I have used it long and hard but not abused it (lifting front tires off the ground, etc). At the risk of getting chewed out I do not think you need a subframe unless the machine has the backhoe on most of the time and is used for heavy digging regularly. I have seen tractors with 3pt backhoes that had cracked in half and heard about it on this site so I know it happens but I think if you are an occasional user and take it easy on your machine you should not have a problem.
