I recently bought an Iseki TS1910 tractor. I have gone over it, repainted it, and replaced the idiot lights on the dash with gauges. The brakes are on a shaft in front of the rear axle. The seals behind the brake drums were leaking so I tried replacing them. The left side wasn't too much of a problem. Put two bolts into the threaded holes in the brake drum, tighten them, and the drum pushes out and off. The plate behind the brake drums where the seals are mounted in had the same two threaded holes. I put two bolts in the holes, tightened them and the whole assembly came out. I replaced the seal plus the noisy ball bearing and reassembled everything. When I tried the right side, the drum came off easily. I tried to remove the assembly holding the seal, bearing, etc. and it wouldn't come out. I spent the biggest part of a whole day trying to get this assembly out. The bolts finally stripped the threads out of the holes. I retapped for larger holes and stripped out at least 8 bolts. Then I noticed than when I tried to pull the assembly out, the pedal going to the differential lock was moving up and down. It seems that something having to do with the differential lock is keeping this assembly from coming out. I went ahead and replaced only the seal, but could not get the assembly out of the transmission block to get to the bearing and I couldn't get to the gasket which sealed this assembly when it was tightened. I don't think it is the seal leaking, I thing it is the gasket (and O-ring which slides on the assembly and helps seal the assembly.
I have a manual I bought for the tractor. It goes into great detail on rebuilding water pump, starter, alternator, injector pump. etc. It doesn't even mention how to get these gear/seal assemblies out of the holes so the bearings and seal can be changed. I need help from someone who has a knowledge of this tractor. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.
