QUESTION: Where is the "dome-light" door-open button for 1648 Cab ?

The interior dome light has 3 switch settings, bottom (off), middle (presumably to turn on when door is opened), and top (on). On the Kub L3540, the door push-spring-button thing is on the driver's door jamb near the top-front. But, I can't find it for the Massey. Don't even see a punch-out for it. It looks to be the exact same light as the Kubota has, so I'm assuming it functions the same.

Was this an added option?

I don't think there is a door switch, would have been a nice touch though.

Yeah, checked again today, couldn't find even a spot for it. Seems odd they would put a switch capable, but without the function. :confused3:

Hey, did I already ask you ... the pre-wired stereo harnesses up in the roof, on the "power" harness, do you know which colors are Power / Remote turn on / Ground ?? Looks like there's Black, Orange & Brown. I'm assuming that black is ground. Not sure on the other two, and I can't find my tester anywhere.

What ever you do, dont install the antenna through the roof. The universal antennas can leak causing water to run into the radio or around the heat/ac components.
I was able to get my dealer to go good for it and now a new roof to put in. Not before all the ice we had and broke the antenna mast. I have relocated the antenna in the correct factory location. Hopefully reception will be adequate once i get the roof replaced and antenna reconnected.
I did find a picture of one tractor with the antenna attached to the warning light bracket.
I do a lot of brush hogging around fields and was nervous about mounting it high again fearing it would get wacked with a branch or something.

Thanks for the tip. I ordered a universal flexible antenna swivel mount, and I was planning to install it at that factory hole on the side pillar. hoping to get the radio and antenna soon, just waiting for a delivery.

The cover on the factory hole is just a sticker that needs to be peeled off.

When installing the antenna, the unit i bought did not have a screw long enough to go through the pillar. No enough thread to catch. You may need to find a longer screw to allow the base to mount to the pillar. An extra set of hands is helpful for this also. Its hard to hold the bracket on the inside while trying to tighten the screw.
