Greetings, I finally have the right equipment (rotary cutter) to mow about 8 acres of grass and weeds for use this year as food plot and some pasture.Come spring it will be wet and messy for a while given the soil type. I never mowed the area down last fall and I am now wondering if there is anything wrong with mowing the surface grass/weeds stems down now while the snow is gone but the ground is still frozen? I am hoping this will make growth of existing grass for pasture easier as the property has been ignored for years. I also want to frost seed some legumes between now and the end of March. Thanks for any suggestions. Location is western Montana
