Happy Holidays Everyone, I have a question or so...I have a 2006 Kubota L-4330HSTC I use it just for snow removal etc. Well today I put on my Kubota Ballast Box full of cement, I'm not familiar with 3-point hitch lining up etc. I have a parts diagram from messick's I'm using to explain, my issue is with the "lower links" arms etc., standing behind tractor, top link is connected to ballast box, lower pins on ballast box are connected to lower link bars on tractor, the "right" and "left" side have what I call spring levers,? however right side spring is missing!, so I have the box where I want it, seems 90per centered, was moving snow, noticed the right side moved a bit on the lower right link, I see a "notch" where I like it to be in but wont stay? Is that because im missing a spring on that lever?

1.) how can I get it to stay like the left side is staying?(replace spring on lever??)
2.)when I raise box up seems to be tilted just a "hair" to one side, someone stopped by the shop and said you can never get those 100% perfect< I will leave that up to you pros!
3.)should I undo, top link, to slide some what back into place? does seem to budge, about 800lbs in box
4.)what does the lift rod do< has the handle on it(then like a spring folds over to lock it down?)

Thanks ahead of time!

Gosh, I have a L4330HST and am having a hard time understanding your post. The lower hitch arms (on mine) each have an extendable fitting that helps in attachment...once attached, they ultimately slide back in and LOCK ...is the spring you are missing what would cause it to lock back in place ...if so, you would have about three inches of play ...not good. You should be able to get replacement parts and fix it.

The handle to which I think you refer is a crank that levels up the two lift arms ...or, when attaching implement, allows you to compensate for some tilt, etc. to make hook-up easier ...then, level the implement/weight box, etc. with the handle/crank and then lock it back in place ...the two arms have (what I call) sway bars that have various holes and a pin on each side ...removing the pins allows the implement arms to swing/sway back and for for hook up. then, should be adjusted with equal clearance on each side and then pinned.

The (temporary) elongation of the arms, the crank adjustment, the multi-hole sway bars, along with the adjustable top-link all combine to give you the latitude you need for easy hook-up.

If this doesn't help, how about a picture showing the "spring-thingy" and the concern with it not "staying" like its opposite number. And, re-reading your post, yes, replace the missing spring. If you still have problems, you can PM me and I'll take a picture or two and annotate it for you.

Finally (too long-winded, I know) if the weight box stays in place, nothing rubs/binds, or swings free, you're good to go, no? It's only ballast, after all and just has to stay in place.

JoeL4330 he PM me and the slots that I showed were the ones he was asking about. The part of the slot that drops down is made so when the pin drops down into it and when you pull on it, it locks in. The spring only puts it in the right spot. He is getting a new spring from the hardware store. His might be rounded off already, I did say that when I replied to his email. Maybe he well repost if just the spring did the job. I don't know why he didn't just post what he emailed me.
