I'm thinking very seriously about getting a Curtis soft side cab for my JD 4210. But looking at the various pics it looks like the cab interior is very close. I'm considering the soft side mainly because for 2 or so months out of a year, that I'll need it when pushing snow. The rest of the year the doors will be off, basicaly giving me a canopy. I've looked at all the others (Curtis, Simms, Cozy - model for 4210 is discontinued, and Laurin). The only other one that really looks nice is the Simms, but at over double the price! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

So my question is, do you Curtis cab owners feel like you have able cab space, or do you feel a little claustophobic? I'm a big guy (6'4", 250#), and dont want to buy the wrong thing.

Thanks!

Curtis makes a nice cab. I bought one for my 2005 Kubota B7610 24hp. tractor last winter. It's really nice in the bad weather. I was warm while plowing snow while sitting in it. When it's sleeting or raining, just turn on the winshield wiper. There was enough room in the cab for me. I'm 6'7" and about 260lbs. and fit comfortably in the cab. In the hot summer, you can take the doors off. I traded that tractor in for a 2005 Kubota MX5000 50hp. utility tractor and am probably not going with a cab this time around.

I have a Curtis soft-side on my 2410. I think you will find there is ample room inside and with the doors and rear shell/window out, it's fairly accessible.
The only downside I found is that inside the cab, it is alot louder than being open.

I have sat in the Curtis Cab mounted on a BX tractor and it is comfortable. If it were not for the windows all around, I can see how one could become claustrophobic. The worse case scenario is that while you are sitting high in the seat, you become claustrophobic and the cab starts to leak in a rain storm, then you might become a claustrophobic hydrophobic acrophobic .... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Too funny junkman, and probably too close to reality. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I just received my JD4210 yesterday, and pulled the trigger on a curtis cab. Looking forward to getting it on.

Thanks for the feedback. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The curtis cab on our b-7500 was a super investment, out of the 11 implements (both front & rear) we have purchased, i think the cab is # 1! With the cab, the tractor now makes money in the rain and snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
