I noticed that the new B2650 with ROPS comes with a side step. Would someone be kind enough to give me the measurements (and maybe a couple close-up pictures) for mounting the step? I have a B2920 and would love to have a step. Thanks in advance. Jim
My B3200 didn't have a step but the threaded bolt holes were there. My neighbor has a B3300 and has the step. I ordered one and in fits. I can take some pictures and measurements tomorrow for you if no body else does.
Does yours have the threaded mounts under the running board?
Here's some pics of the step that I added on my B3200. One pic shows the front mount, next to the clutch pedal. Another shows the rear mount up under the fender. The final pic is an overall view of it mounted. If you have the threaded nuts welded to your running board, this might work. the space from front to rear is a little under 12" and the step can be bent a little either way. I believe mine is from a B3300. I'll run down and pull my file. I might have the part number.
The p/n is 6A700-51350-620. I got it from Coleman for 24.72 plus shipping.
I can take a picture tonight when I get home if I remember, I have the B2650 with step. It's not very large and seems to be rather flimsy to me - but I see that the operator's platform is rubber isolator mounted which is likely the reason for all the flex when I step on it.
The flexing is like I mentioned before, all due to the rubber isolator type of mount for the operators platform. I weigh about 185lbs and my dad pushes the 230-240lb range and it's plenty for us. A generic step could be fabbed up using your own brackets and HD rivets underneath the rubber platform cover.
Noticed the flex right away when I looked at one on the dealers lot. Made the whole machine seems flimsy, point of contacts with the operator are very important for overall feel. Good machines but a bad design on the step.

By no means is a little flex in this area to be taken as flimsy or a weak point. The fact that vibration isolation was taken into account for the operators platform means a lot to me. Until it presents itself as a problem I'll take it as it is.
